Gift for Architect girlfriend – The ultimate list
Welcome to Architect Gadgets and to the post Gift for Architect girlfriend – The ultimate list. Are you looking for the perfect gift for your Architect girlfriend? Not sure what gift will surprise her? If so, you have come to the right place! In this post, I have collected 15 gift ideas for your Architect girlfriend. The list has been done thanks to the suggestions of two of my female Architect friends. Thanks to their point of view, this list is almost as good as asking your girlfriend to tell you what she will like, but without spoiling the surprise of not knowing it.
Before I start listing the products, I would like to explain quickly how I have chosen them.
As I have mentioned above, this time the process has been quite different. I have reached out to two of my female Architect friends and I have asked them for suggestions of things that they have been given and liked, things that they have given to other female Architects or things they will like to be given. This list is the result of their answers. Their suggestions included a wide variety of products from different sources, which I have curated in a final list of the products that, I thought, fitted best with the aim of this website. Therefore, if you have read some of our lists before, you will see a difference in the type of products that appear here.
I hope you will find their suggestions as informative and inspiring as I did. Any fault on this list is mine. However, any success is exclusively the fruit of the suggestions of my two friends.

Most Architects have an artist inside and so coloured pencils are a great gift for any of us. These Derwent coloured pencils will also be a great complement to the previous gift, so you could combine them to make a more special present. These pencils are from a high-quality brand with an excellent reputation. What makes them special is that, when mixed with water, the quality of the colour is like liquid ink, a very intense colour. You can choose a wide range of options, from the more affordable 6 pencils pack to the high-end 72 pencils with wooden box, with the price going from less than $10 to more than $100 (at the time of this writing).
Derwent Colored Pencils, Inktense Ink Pencils, Drawing, Art, Gift Set Pencil Wrap
VIBRANT SHADES – The round 4mm soft lead core is perfect for bold expressive drawings. The highly pigmented colour is easy to apply and produces a vibrant finish. Includes a range of 6 colours.
WATER SOLUBLE – Expand your creative possibilities. Water soluble pencils can be used dry for expressive drawings, or washed out with water to create a bright, yet translucent ink-like effect.
PERMANENT COLOUR – Pigments dry quickly and permanently when washed out, minimizing colour bleeding. Once dry, colours can be placed next to each other or layered, without fear of colour bleeding.
SURFACE VARIETY – Switch up your artistic canvas. As the colour dries permanently, it’s great on fabrics such as silk or cotton. Can also easily be used on paper. Modify the use to fit your project.
COLOUR CREATION – Make custom shades by mixing colours together. You can also obtain lighter shades of the same colour by adding water. Mix colours to create a truly unique piece of art.
ACCESSORIES – For best results, combine with other Derwent products, such as Derwent Waterbrush Set, Derwent Technique Brushes, Derwent Watercolour Paper Pads and Derwent Carry-All Canvas Bag.

A book is always a good present, and especially so for Architects. In this book, Bruno Munari, who was once called by Picasso “the Leonardo Da Vinci of our time”, covers the fundamentals of these three primary shapes, explaining their meanings and uses throughout history. An excellent book to have for an Architect or anybody else involved in a design discipline.
Bruno Munari: Square, Circle, Triangle
Within the early 1960s Italian design legend Bruno Munari published his visual case studies on shapes: Circle, Square, and, a decade later, Triangle.
